Free movement is a condition for the transformation of communities by young people. Choreographer Anatoliy Sachivko and director Illya Dutsyk share the experience of creating modern imagery as a trend of the country’s creative economy in times of uncertainty — as a part of Splino Camp. Communities
Cultural Platform Zakarpattya NGO and Illya Dutsyk release a documentary study on the practice of free movement with choreographer Anatoliy Sachivko at the Kaniv College of Culture and Arts. The aim is to demonstrate the importance of the latest approaches to the creation and reproduction of interpersonal relations in the continuous interaction of individuals through creative practices

Ukraine is a great country where interpersonal interactions take place at the same time and all levels between all its citizens. Interpersonal space consists of diverse connections between people and their attitudes to each other. We are living in a disordered time, the future order of which is being rendered hourly by all the participants overcoming this catastrophe.
In order to render it faster, one must realize that the integrated microcircuit or chip of this process are moral rules. Being guided by them, individuals are able to create a common moral space, which, according to the science of sociology, is a central aspect of civil society. And civil society is the basis of a coherent and successful state.

An essential component for creating a common moral space is the necessity to know the laws, which, in case of an ongoing desire to finish rendering, act as the current electrifying the network.
In order to avoid a “blackout” in the interpersonal relations of the continuous interactions between individuals, we suggest that all readers start the cognitive process by asking: what is inside the code of this current?
So, the Concept of the State Targeted Social Program “Youth of Ukraine” for 2021-2025 (Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 02.06.2021 No. 579) identifies the low level of adaptability and vitality of young people in a dynamic world due to the insufficient level of competences as one of the key problems that need to be solved. Acting in compliance with the Law of Ukraine On the Basic Principles of Youth Policy of April 27, 2021 No. 1414-IX, Cultural Platform Zakarpattya NGO cherishes the idea that the mental stability of young people is formed by gaining new mental resilience pillars through various creative practices.
“At a time when we witness an increase in the negative impact of anxiety on society, creating opportunities for self-realization of teenagers and young people is critically important for ensuring the well-being of not only the young generation but also the entire country. Educated youth play a key role in the development of public initiatives in communities that enable horizontal mobility — the guarantee to renewing the past system,”
says Yevhen Zabarylo, chairman of the board of the Cultural Platform Zakarpattya NGO.

One of the long-term projects of the NGO is the All-Ukrainian Spilno Camp. Communities project where mentors of creative industries share their own expertise with young people and demonstrate their own experience and skills through creative workshops. Community research within the expedition is one of the key points that ensures the further implementation of the project. This is what happened with Kaniv, where the NGO team arrived to form a creative program that will be relevant for the location.

The Kaniv College of Culture and Arts has become one of the locations of the cultural intervention here the Choreography Department has been operating since 1967 but the dance numbers are choreographed to a remix of «Доброго вечора, ми з України» (Dobroho vechora, my z Ukrainy), while six directors who are studying at the Faculty of Directing have never even held a camera in their four years of study.

Formal education in communities is frequently based on outdated hierarchical models that remove young people’s own desires and individual manifestations from the equation. At the same time, according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine on the National Youth Strategy until 2030 (Strategy of 12.03.2021 No. 94/2021), young people must be ready to act in the face of change, be able to learn, acquire new competencies throughout their lives, and not focus only on formal education.

The need to come to Kaniv together with Anatoliy Sachivko, choreographer, director, and founder of the Apache Crew dance group, was obvious. The practice of free movement is a way to explore the nature of one’s own body plasticity in time and space consciously, where there are no algorithms, where dynamics are born out of emotion, state, and sensation, and seek their natural development through the capabilities of the body of each individual.

Follow the transformation of the notion about the possibilities of movement that took place among the youth of Kaniv through practice in documentary research by the director Illya Dutsyk, who is a mentor of Spilno Camp.

The movement reflects the dynamics of the ongoing transformations of society, both literally and metaphorically. “How and where are you going to move?”—the sooner young people can answer this question, the more chances Ukraine of the future will have to be resilient in a dynamic world of constant transformation. The practice of the country’s free movement can only be realized through the free movement of thoughts and the young people’s realization of their own subjectivity to make it happen.

“In these historic times for our country, cultural figures and artists either take on social responsibility and leave Reitarska street to share their expertise with communities, or they do not exist…”
— Yana Polupanova, director of communications of Cultural Platform Zakarpattya NGO.

Social activism is a properly adjusted optic that allows you to spot the place where you can provide your expertise, plant the seeds that will later germinate and become the true pillar of the Ukraine of the future. Building flexibility is a condition for the system’s survival. The ability to understand yourself is a condition of agency. The joint movement of conscious citizens toward building well-being and mental stability is a condition for Ukraine’s existence.
